This week is clutch week for everyone with all the assignments, labs, tests and projects needs to be done. So here is a relaxing korean song that is used for Aion's theme song. It is a great song to listen to while studying, there is also an English version if you prefer it, just look it up.

Music reaches into people

So today I had to go to uni to do project with Ming and Angie and on the bus on the way to uni, these 2 pacific island or maori girls got on. They then got their ipod attached to speakers and started playing their music. I guess at first people were kind of annoyed because they were being pretty incosiderate, ruining the peace and quiet of the bus. But then the song was changed to We are the world 25 for Haiti and I felt the mood changed. It felt like the entire bus was listening and enjoying the song. After I got off the bus, these 2 maori guys who sat in front of me were singing and humming the song to themselves. That was when I truly witness the power of music.

After working on the project, we had lunch at Ku Bick, (I had to desperately finish my udon cause of bus -.-). Then took the bus to Newmarket to watch Alice in Wonderland. It was my first time going to the cinema in Newmarket and I thought it looked pretty good. Met up with Catherine and we played air hockey lol~ Ming and I had a pretty intense last battle.



The movie I thought was really really average... definately not worth $13.50, storyline predictable, not much excitement. The only things I liked was Johnny Depp playing the Mad Hatter and the card soldiers looked pretty cool...
After the movie, went to rec centre and shot around with Ming. Used my last day of gym membership, no more gym for me now~~~ T_T

Selling Ghosts???

I wanted to talk about his 2 days ago however kept forgetting -.-" This auction on Trade Me has been getting views from all over the world last week. Why? cause someone is selling two captured ghosts.

TWO CAPTURED GHOST

The story that the seller is telling us is that there had been freaky events going on in the house like things turning on and off by itself, getting touched on the back of the neck, dogs wouldnt enter certain rooms. So the seller hired an exorcist and captured 2 ghosts, an old man and an young girl. Since then the events had stopped.

This auction sparked opinions from all kinds of people, there are some who felt disgusted and sick because the seller had no respect for human spirits and just treating them like objects. Some thought that the seller was completely bullshting and its just 2 bottles of blue food colouring dye. Some were amused and asked questions like what would happen if you drank it. I thought the seller handled the bombardment of questions quite well, i think i read it was more than 1300 questions. The seller said that the money from the auction is going to cover the exorcist's fee and the rest is going to SPCA.

Yesterday I watched on Campbell Live and found out the winner of the auction who paid more than $2800 was a company who just wanted to buy it cause the aunction attracted thousands of hits... I didnt feel too happy about that but then again it all comes down to how you view things and what you believe.

So the question here is, do you belive in ghosts? Obviously you wouldnt feel it was right to sell human spirits if you believed that the two vials were ghosts. But what if you dont believe that there are ghosts in there? Then this entire auction was pretty hillarious, someone just paid $2800 for 2 bottles of blue liquid. My personal opinion? I believe in ghosts, they probably exist but I definately wont go around selling and buying ghosts. You know, JUST INCASE they do exist and starts haunting my house :P OR vice versa, I open the bottle and there are no ghosts in it :(

Ergo Proxy

Just finished Ergo Proxy and uhh I dont even know where to start. If you ask me to describe the anime in one word it would definately be random. Second word would be unique. Ergo Proxy is an anime about the future where humans each had a personal robot to take care of them (autoreivs). The air was also too polluted for humans to live in and they had to live inside a dome. Then we get a glimpse of human like monsters. The anime started off with lots of questions and mysteries, they were revealed or answered bit by bit as the anime progressed.

The animation wasnt bad, quite average. The artwork for the opening song was nicely done though, with all the dark lines effects, corresponded with the theme of the anime, dark and mysterious. While Im on the subject of the opening, I quite like the opening song, especially the part where he stands all alone and screams to the world. But other than that, there is nothing more I can say about the music for Ergo Proxy.

This should give you some idea of what the anime is like.

I honestly thought it was a white dude who sangs this until I looked it up, yes they are Japanese :O

I know that a lot of people likes this anime because of the story, the pace, the arrangement of the story but personally I did not like it. There were too many mysteries shown at the start and the explanations for it were too vague. I also felt that the pace was too fast, like I'll finish one episode then start watching another one. But after 5 mins into that one, I get the feeling that I missed an episode in between because I do not see how it relates to the episode before.

The reason I described the anime as being random, not only because of the 'timeline jumps' but the anime also had really random episodes. Some were complete fillers, literally rubbish episodes where it didnt even matter if it was shown or not. Some were fillers that had 2 mins of significance, if you did not watch that 2 mins, you would not understand some parts of the next episode. I also feel that this anime tries to complicate things and trying to fit a lot of themes in it.

Judging from my review, you'll probably think this anime is crap. But they are just personal opinions, this is a highly rated anime on the net and most people like it. I admit even I was attracted to it for a while, around the middle part. I mean Ergo Proxy was interesting enough for me to finish the series. Actually I was glad they put the character Pino in, it gave me laughs in this shady anime. My rating for this anime 6/10.

Clannad Personality Quiz

Today was the first day of my 2nd year of uni and I must say I wasnt very happy with it. I guess the problem is I havent gotten used to studying in the afternoon and having 3 or 4 classes straight, finishing the day at 6 isnt my cup of tea either... sigh. Well 2nd year sounded challenging with a mix of fear and excitement.
