6.8 Earthquake Hits Taiwan

Last night at around 9pm, my time, an earthquake magnitude 6.8 was felt throughout Taiwan. It is said that this quake is the biggest this year. I was in a book store at that time and I felt something was weird when I was walking but I thought I was just dizzy or something. Then suddenly everyone in the store suddenly had a serious look on their face and were looking up. I looked up also and saw the glass that was hanging off the ceiling was shaking. Since I was on the 3rd floor, we only felt a slight shake. We then quickly rang back home and asked if grandma was alright since we live on the 13th floor. She said she couldnt even stand straight and had to hold on to the furnitures.

The earthquake originated 25km from the east coast of Taiwan. Hundreds of aftershocks happened after the big quake. Although none of us felt those. Tsunami warning was issued for Japan. I live in Kaohsiung, that is south west of Taiwan so we were the furthest away from the quake, the magnitude here was only 4. Bullet trains and trains were suspended for track checking. On the news, some dude was sitting in his car when the earthquake happened and a water tank fell on his car. Luckily he was alright but it must've been friggin scary. Imagine just chilling in your car and suddenly BOOM, lol...

Naruto Shippuuden: Kizuna

So last night I watched the second Naruto Shippuuden movie: Kizuna(Bonds) and I was really disappointed. First of all I dont know what the bad guys intentions were, they just attacked Konoha so Naruto and co just attacked back. Didnt see many good actions, half of the movie was just Naruto getting beaten up or him destroying things. The only merely exciting parts were Naruto turning into 4 tails and Sasuke and Naruto fighting together. I gotta say this movie is the worst out of all of the Naruto movies, even worse than the animal kingdom one where the last finishing move was Naruto on some fat guy's shoulder and doing Rasengan. I hope they will raise the standard for the next movie.

Clannad

First update in December! Sorry for the lack of posts, it is just that so far not much has happened. Next month will be exciting since I'll be going on a 6 days trip to Malaysia so I'm looking forward to that. I guess now I'll write my thoughts on some movies and Clannad.

During the flight from Australia to Taiwan I watched Up and Inkheart. Up, I reckon was slightly overrated. Maybe because I assumed it would be like Pixar's previous masterpiece Wall-E or maybe it was just the fact I found the movie pretty random. Like dragging a house or gigantic bird or uhhh talking dogs. Most of the funny bits were shown already on the trailer so that kinda spoiled the movie for me. Dont get me wrong, I'm not saying the movie was bad. It was a standard Pixar film, enjoyable as always however for this one I thought few things did not click or fit well together.

Inkheart staring that main guy from the Mummy, Brendan Fraser. Thought it would be a good film to watch since I enjoyed his humour in the Mummy series. However in this film, there werent many funny nor action moments. This was more of a children's film where everyone tries to save everyone around them and stuff.

Now on to Clannad. When I first saw Clannad, I was like wtf is this girl anime because it was the first time I watched a lolicon/loli style anime (meaning all the characters are all really young and cute, yes even the guys). But I ignored the cuteness and carried on watching, soon realising this anime is good as.

A special thing about Clannad is that every episode, you can feel the emotion it wants you to feel. I honestly laughed my ass off at the funny bits cause it was just too funny ><. You can feel embarrassed for the characters since they'll do the most wtf things. Not to mention sadness, during one episode, I couldnt stop tears from falling down. Emotion 100% anime, you really feel for the characters.

My favourite character will have to be Sunohara so far. He's like the funny guy who always gets pranked on and beaten up. Although he is always messing around, deep downn he is a solid support friend.

I've finished watching the first season, going to start watching the second season Clannad: After Story soon. Depending on what the second season is like, Clannad could be one of the top anime in my list so far I'm ranking it pretty high, strongly recommended.

Aion Vision

So ever since the holiday started, I've been living in the world of Aion. I am a lvl 25 Chanter right now, the game is still amazing. Everyday I learn new stuff about it, exploring new places, there are just so many things to do on there. Recently I've been involved in crafting armours, spent ages gathering materials for it and lvling crafting skill and now I am at a resonable stage.

At the beach XD

My sister's character dancing beside a pile of rubbish?

As your level increases so does the pace of the game. You no longer fight random beasts or gather weird looking flowers. You have to start worry about the other race, for us the Asmodians. Like World of Warcraft where there is Alliance vs Horde, on Aion it's Elyos vs Asmodians. They honestly just pop out of no where and strike at you when you least expected.

New area I just explored today

Nightwish

Thought I'll write about Nightwish today, it is probably my favourite band. Nightwish originated from Finland, it is a symphonic, metal band, made up of 5 members. Now there is the old Nightwish and the new Nightwish. During 2007, the singer Tarja Turunen was asked to leave by the rest of the band and Anette Olzon replaced her.

I am a fan of the old Nightwish, the combination of the band (music written by Tuomas Holopainen) and Tarja was perfect. The music Tuomas comes up with is really nice, the way the band performs the music is just epic and Tarja's voice is just unbelievable. The new singer compare to Tarja, you'll find that her voice is not as strong and the strength in voice is what the new Nightwish lacks. None the less, Nightwish is still going strong and producing new songs so look forward to it.

The songs that I like are all from the old Nightwish, taken from 3 albums, Once, Century Child and Best of Nightwish, enjoy XD

Paintball

Went to play paintball today, fellas met up at my place, Jack, Shuhan, Adam then all got into Raycher's car and we were off. This time we went to North Shore Paintball at Silverdale, last time I went some where across the Harbour Bridge. Saw a Lama farm on the way, which was interesting lol XD. Shimeen and 4 other westlakes were already waiting for us when we got there. We then waited for another car, Sam, Matt and In Hwan... after 15 mins they were no show so we just went in. They finally showed up when we were putting on our overalls. We were lucky that we were the first one to use the new masks that were supplied to them, no weird smell woot!

After the refs went over the safety rules, we were taken to the safe house. We played capture the flag game first where the objective of the game was to get the flag at the enemy base and take it to our base. We had 7 tgs and 6 westlakes so naturally those were the teams. The terrain was a base on one side with forest cover and the other base was on a hill with trenches. We started on the hill first and since it was our first round, everyone wasnt sure on how the strategy works and stuff so no one won. 2nd time, we started in the forest and since we had the forest cover, we moved forward a lot faster since it was hard for them to see us. The game was intense but the In Hwan made an epic run to the flag but got shot on the way back. I think someone else picked it up and got it back to our base or the time ran out.

The next game was attacking/defending game, 5 people will try and defend the hills for i think 15 mins. If they succeed then they win but of course with 8 other people attacking, it was near impossible. I volunteered for the 5, I wouldnt if I knew I was gonna get owned... One of our dude was shot after like the first minute and he stood at such an open space it was impossible for us to save him. Eventually it was down to me and Jack. But we were being overwhelmed soon enough, In Hwan came within like 2m and shot me like 3 times before he got taken down. Afterwards new 5 were selected and we replayed the same game. At one time, half of my team were stranded at an open area and the defending team still had all of their players. Then I saw most of their team were distracted by someone else and I made an epic run and saved all the stranded people before got taken down by Raycher. Since we got our whole team back again, eventually we won.

By that time, most of us were out of paintballs or had little left so we just played one more attackind/defending game with the people who still had heaps of balls defending, there were like 3 people. Due to our insufficient paintballs we could not beat the defenders... Then two people still had a little bit left so they had a duel. One person get to fire twice while one stands still and vice versa, it sure was entertaining watching them. Overall the event was enjoyable, good fun, I think everybody had a great time and I enjoyed sniping (got quite a few headshots) :)

2012 - End of the World

Just watched 2012 today and I only got one word for it: Epic. This movie basically got all the natural disasters, it is like The Day After Tomorrow, Poseidon and more, upgraded. The storyline was suprisingly nice for a movie like this, lots of emotional scenes. The disasters were really nicely done, especially in urban areas, you can see tiny people falling off or getting smashed by a car. The level of detail they got into was amazing. The movie was also quite long, like 2 and a half hours but its worth the length.

Will the Mayan prophecy come true? 2012 = the end? I guess we just gotta wait and see.

First day of freedom

Yesterday was the first official day of freedom, woke up at 10 then went to play basketball at uni. I was the last one to arrive but oh well :P Played some 3v3 then went to a chinese restaurant for lunch. I ordered pork baked rice and it was suprisingly good. The flavour was really good which made it really easy to eat/swallow it. With most baked rice I found that I get sick of the cheesy flavour after eating half of it but not this one.

When I got home, I had to quickly do the dishes then rushed to Jason's house to pick up Aion. Played some Tekken 6, I just love the graphics in Tekken 6, so pro. The game is also noob-friendly also, you can randomly spam and pull off an awesome move. That was how I managed to win a few times lol! Then Amos arrived and he just showed everyone whos the boss, just too pro.

Afterwards I just went home and watched X-Men Origin Wolverine. The movie was a bit boring at the start and predictable but the end was pretty good, the action was nicely done. This movie also explained a couple of things like Sabertooth and Wolverine are brothers (well maybe not brothers but they are definately related in one way or another), the origin of Cyclops and how Wolvering became indestructible (his power was similar however it had it's limits, until the upgrade). The last boss was pretty ownage, its like a 5 in 1 combo dude. Overall I liked this movie, I would rate above average.

I also started Aion last night, created a priest, so nice playing Aion again. Now I just gotta get back to where I was last time lol!

End of university and Surrogates

Well today marked the end of first year in uni. Reflecting back, I had a pretty good year in Auckland uni actually. Made some new friends, reunited with lots of old friends, learned heaps of sht from the subjects (hopefully I'll still remember them next year), played basketball with mates and random people (I've definately improved), learned to work out, ate different food everyday and learned how to play pool.

I finished my 2 hours International Business exam, I tried my best but I still felt less confident comparing to my engineering exams. Jerrell and I went to play pool while waiting for others to finish their Economics exam. I was a bit rusty due to 2 weeks of no playing but still managed to just beat Jerrell :). We then went to Genzui and met up with the others. Was kinda suprised to see the number of people there, thought it was just a few ppl. There were us, Albert, Ming, Sherman, Audrey, Ming's gf and a girl I didnt know but recognise from somewhere...

I ordered Miso Katsu Don and shared Takoyaki, it was extremely filling I had no idea why. I was really hungry before but I could just finished it. Jerrell ate suprisingly fast cause I guess his pride was on the line or something lol! Afterwards we made our way to the cinema, just before purchasing the tickets, two factions arised. There was the Surrogates faction and then there was the This is it! faction. I was in the middle since I wanted to see both but in the end Surrogates won. We were 10mins late therefore we had to sit 2 rows from the front, had to tilt our necks.

The movie I thought had the idea however it felt uncomplete. The ending did not satisfied me, the story had way more potential. Not enough action also, I guess Bruce Willis is getting old.. too bad. I rate this movie an average. After the movie, we went to get milk tea at a new store just right opposite the cinema: Easy Way. They were having a promotion sale, $3 for any regular sized and $4 for any large drinks. It was there I realised my wallet was missing! So Sherman (how kind of him) and I rushed back up, ran like 3 flights of stairs and luckyily it was right there, on my seat. The cleaning lady was just about to get to it!

So I retrieved it, bought milk tea. Then Audrey had to leave in a hurry and Sherman who didnt order anything got a free milk tea! I guess thats his reward for him running up the stairs lol. It was a cool last day of uni and tomorrow gotta wake up early again... to play basketball ><

New Inuyasha: The Final Act

Exams are within a week, starting on the 3rd I've got chemmat, 5th software, 7th electrical and 9th internation business. I've been trying hard to study but always gets distracted by boringness or a sudden urge to look up something on the web which lead to looking at other things and that lead to more stuff. Basically everything except for studying is fun right now.

So I accidently stumbled upon this amazing find. The anime Inuyasha will be continuing from where it stopped since 2004! 5 years! This news excited many anime fans around the world, many had grew up watching Inuyasha or simply loved it as an anime series (a pretty long one though, 167 episodes). Inuyasha was rated top 20 anime of all time, I think it is in terms of popularity but Im not sure. So far 4 episodes have been aired in Japan, it started on October 3rd.

For me, Im pretty excited too not that Im a huge Inuyasha fan, it's because it will be good to know how it is going to end. My sister was the one who introduced it to me since she already downloaded half of it, I decided to watch it. I could see why a lot of people enjoyed it. There were plenty of action for the boys, romance for the girls, comedy for everyone however I thought the story was a bit plain. The good guys basically always wins. But the bigger picture or story was actually alright, the journey and adventure by different groups lead to revealing the past and making themselves stronger. Then it suddenly stopped, I was like is this it?! It was like another Claymore ending.

Here is the trailer for it:

Now they've continued with Fullmetal Alchemist and Inuyasha, when will they finish up Claymore? Or Slam Dunk? Am I suppose to wait 5 years also?! I WANT CLAYMOREEEEE RAWR!

My 19th and C Part 2

Sorry for the delay, keep forgetting that I still havent finish writing. Anyway here we go. On Sunday, it was me and Jason's birthday, yes we were born on the same day, same year, same time? Maybe, I dunno. (Have you found your twin yet? :D Theres someone bound to have the same birthday as you) I invited him to come but he had church :/ So in the morning, people gathered at my house and brought me presents, yay! Adam gave me a Final Fantasy VII pillow, In Hwan gave me a new mouse and Shuhan & Shawn bought me Aion! Thank you very much guys T_T

So then we all got in my car and I was driver for the day since no one else wanted to be lol. We made it to the ice skating place in like half an hour and coincidently found out that theres an arcade and pool place right beside it, we're like sweet! Since it was lunch time, the guys were keen for KFC so we went. It was the fullest KFC I've ever seen (some sort of KFC day o.O), there were only 2 more free tables, I bought a bucket with 4 large sides and we shared it. After we stepped out, it started pouring like hell, I was the only one without a jacket or a hoodie :(

After I paid for the guys, we went to collect our ice skates. It felt really weird to walk with skates cause you're just balancing on the blade. I've ice skated three times before when I was young and I used to roller blade so I was the one with the most experienced. In Hwan learned cause he went to holiday programmes when he was young but he forgot. The other 3 were newbs lol. So I had to teach basically all of them, the key is to skate not walk.

For the next hour or so, progress had been made for 3 people. In Hwan could basically skate slowly and turn. Same with Shawn. Shuhan could go faster than the other 2, however had trouble turning so he always look for the nearest wall to crash. Adam was still grabbing on the walls and attempting to walk on ice. After another hour of practising, the 3 felt they were up for a race, I had to ref. The entire race was basically whoever didnt get pushed away or had other people in front of them won lol.

After 3 hours, we decided to make a train however this task required everyone's cooperation. It was going pretty smoothly until one guy tripped and it dragged all of us down! It actually hurted quite a bit but was funny as. Our last task was to force Adam to skate with no walls next to him so the challenge was for him to skate across and back the centre of the arena. If he could do that then we leave. It took a while but he did it.

We went to the arcade afterwards. It was a pretty cool arcade, you gotta buy a card and put money in it, you just swipe the gaming machine when you wanna play. We basically tried nearly all the games there, punching bag, basketball hoops, air hockey. The best ones were Tekken 6 and racing. Tekken was only $1.20, cheap as, the graphics was so good and the controls were easy to use. Shawn was saying I dont even know how to play this and then ended up dominating all of us. The racing game cost us the most money since it was a 4 players link game. For the first 3 rounds, one of us will fuk up like choosing the wrong car or wrong mode. Then one of us had to go top up again. When we finally got it right, it was so fun that we kept swiping and kept topping up. I think it was fair to say, I came first most of the time.

When we had barely any money left, we decided to spend it on a few rounds of pool. The pool tables were those small ones which was sht.. we taught In Hwan how to play since it was his first time. Then I had to rush back home since my mum was going to take me to dinner. We went to a chinese BBQ buffet, it was really good. But the thing with self BBQ is you dont know how long you should cook the meat. If you leave it for too long, it gets all crunchy but if not enough time then its not cooked properly.

So my birthday basically ended there but before I slept, I still had to submit my C project. Just an hour before I submitted, I found out I had to print out all these information at the start and check for weird conditions. Thank god Sherman told me to check the project specifications. The very next day we had our other C project due. This one was to create your own program. I wrote a simple weapon enchanting program, Im not sure how to upload it on here but I'll try tomorrow.

Free hugs for Taiwan at Auckland Uni

I know Im suppose to continue with part 2 of my previous article but I just felt this was more important. Few hours ago, I received this video from Shuhan. It is about some Taiwanese students in Auckland uni who got together and copied the 'Free hugs in Taiwan' done in Taiwan.

For those who dont know, in August Taiwan experienced typhoon Morakot which caused floods, landslides, mudslides in several areas, villages with people in them were buried under mud and water. Hundreds of lives were lost in this catastrophic event.
Here is an example of the power of typhoon... an entire hotel fell into the flooded river

So basically the people were showing support by hugging that dude with the Taiwan paper bag over his head and signing their signature to prove that they showed their support. As you can see from the video, this gesture was supported by many! Too bad I didnt run into them. Good job on the crew for doing it and thanks to all that supported!

Here is the original video filmed in Taiwan. The 4 words said by many is basically Go Taiwan!

My 19th and C Part 1

Been a while since my last update and the main reason was two projects for software engineering were due yesterday and today. Anyway I'll recap some events which happened over the past few days.

Friday was pretty busy, we had to do an online electrical test. I thought I could learn it on the day by doing the practise questions online so I didnt pay too much attention on it the night before. But it turned out that I couldnt and to make matters worse, Jerrell and I also had international business online quiz to do also. Luckily the quiz was easy, our combined knowledge always triumphs. Double luckily, my friends taught (basically did) the electrical test for me so thanks all. I got one wrong but that was due to my noobness on the calculator. =.=

That evening, I also went to play basketball at Browns Bay again along with Shawn and Hans. We were like half an hour late and there were already 4 teams there. When we got on, we basically got schooled 6-1, we werent even warmed up and they just kept sinking shots! After one cycle, when it was our turn again, we were more ready and finally won. Our next game took like forever, this one round felt like the length of 3 normal rounds. I had a massive block on this dude which made the crowd go OOOOOHHHHHHH!!! Damn it felt good! However we lost 6-5, was a shame but we had a good night.

Saturday was just C, C and more C. C is the program we're using at the moment for software engineering. One of our project for it was to design a perfect packaging solution where we are given a number of boxes, box capacity and number of parcels. We had to try to put all the parcels into the boxes and once the boxes are filled, we are left with the lightest parcels. I was stuck on this problem for hours, I had to let the program check all the boxes are within the box capacity then execute some command. I finally solved it with Ben's detailed explanation and Jason's idea inspiring words so big thanks to them. And with that problem solved, I basically did the core bit for the project which left me Sunday to celebrate for my birthday.

Random entertainment in the middle XD
Sherman showed this song to me today and I thought it was really good so here it is

(The guy with the hat is the best :P)

Im tired now, I'll finish the rest tomorrow :P

New Haircut

Yesterday quite a few unexpected things happened. First was basketball, I didnt even bring any change of clothes but somehow I ended up going to the courts to play anyway. At first I thought we were just going to shoot around then go grab lunch. We ended up playing 4v4 ins and outs. It was Karthik, Ronnie, Jerrell and me, we always had close games but could never achieve victory. We won only like once i think lol. The other teams had like big ogres in their team, we always had to double or triple team them.

It was so competitive and fun, Jerrell and I completely forgot about lunch and soon it was time for international business. Just before we finished, Jerrell fuked up his leg, unexpected injury right there. So me and the cripple took a while to get to class.

After the class, Jerrell wanted to get a haircut and basically i was peer pressured to get one too. I didnt really ask for a style, just whatever the barber thought was good and yeah, I got a complete new style.

Naruto's Parents Revealed

I've been quite busy over the weekend due to chemmat test. Chemmat is my 8th favourite subject (out of the 8th I've studied this year) so yeah, it took me a lot of effort to study for it. Now I will be busy with C programming, got 2 projects due next week, gotta start tomorrow. Been catching up on Bleach and Naruto cause last month I couldnt download due to unexpected download of Aion which made me go over my internet limit. Bleach is still going on with the interesting filler of Zanpakutou rebellion, this is probably the best filler yet, the story is nice and not lame.

Naruto is complete pwnage. The story went back to official I think 2 months ago and its just wow. [WARNING: WILL CONTAIN SPOILER IF YOU ARE NOT UP TO DATE WITH THE NARUTO ANIME. READ AT YOUR OWN RISK]

The story started off again with Orochimaru wanting to consume Sasuke's body It turned out Sasuke had no intention of letting Orochimaru use him and he killed Orochimaru. After Orochimaru died, Sasuke went out and recruit 3 other people to form his own team, "Snake" (what a lol name). Meanwhile Naruto and Konoha received word of Orochimaru's death and assembled like a platoon to find either Sasuke or Akatsuki since it is now a triangle relationship. Sasuke wants to find Itachi, Naruto wants to find Sasuke or Akatsuki cause they might have info on Sasuke and Deidara wants to kill Naruto or Sasuke.

Deidara encountered Sasuke first and the fight began. It was a highly skilled fight, both of them pulling all their tricks out of their sleeves. It was an epic fight compared to those lame ones in the fillers before. In the end Deidara used this ultimate technique which blew himself up and anything within 10km radius. Tobi (Deidara's partner) and Sasuke were thought to have died in the blast. But did they...?

Sasuke merely escaped by summoning Manda (Orochimaru's snake) and hid inside him while using a teleportation technique. However they were still caught in the blast which resulted in Sasuke badly injured and Manda died(lol). It was also revealed that Tobi did not die and he was strong as sht, he was actually another Uchiha, the legendary Uchiha Madara (although I dont know what that name mean but hes definately some sort of tough guy). Meanwhile Naruto encountered Kabuto, who fused himself with what is left of Orochimaru, crazy dude. He also met Itachi however Itachi only wanted to talk, after a few words Itachi disappeared.

The story then shifted to Jiraiya, he discovered the location of Akatsuki's leader and he is going to penetrate the place alone. It then showed us Jiraiya's childhood and how he became the lengendary Sannin along with Orochimaru and Tsunade. Basically they were just ownage ninjas who killed a lot of enemies during the ninja wars. Jiraiya also received a prophecy that one day he will take in an apprentice and that apprentice will change the world. It is all up to Jiraiya on the path that apprentice will choose to take.

So Jiraiya travels the world to search for guidance for his mission and also for the apprentice. He saw many things but still could not come up with an answer nor did he find the apprentice. However, he did teach 3 kids who grew up to be members of Akatsuki. Although he himself does not know it yet, he thought they died. The episode ended with Jiraiya talking to his student, the 4th Hokage about how great his book was. At that moment, the answer to the question that has been wondered by many for longer than 4 years "Who were Naruto's parents?" was revealed. Indeed... the 4th Hokage was Naruto's father.

[POSSIBLE SPOILER FINISH HERE]

So I wrote the summary of Naruto, up to the latest episode I watched. It's not the latest out there, Im 2 episodes behind. But the latest episode I watched, I felt like it was such a memorable episode, life longing question that had been answered, I had to write about it. The next episode looks great, looks like Jiraiya is going to meet Akatsuki. Cant wait!

Bleach Movie 3: Fade to Black and electrical lab

Just finished watching the new Bleach movie Fade to Black. The movie was released December last year in Japan but it was only recently uploaded on to the internet. Again, thanks to Jason I was able to obtain it.

13 Division Protection Squad VS Kurosaki Ichigo

This movie is the best out of the 3 by far. [WARNING CONTAINS SPOILERS] This movie is like previous 2 movies combined. Like the first movie, the theme of memory was also used here. However the fight scenes were like the the second movie, where nearly all characters showed off however in this one it was better. Because they did not use the common characters who normally shows up in the anime eg. Ikkaku, Yumichika, Soi Fon. Instead we got to see some of the rare characters in action, eg. Urahara, Ukitake, Kyoraku. The best fight scene was between Rukia and Ichigo, damn I've never seen Rukia fight that well, it was so awesome.

Good Bye Rukia

The drawings I thought it was fantastic, much clearer, probably even better than the current anime. Then again it could be that the movie was in better quality than my episodes lol. The story was pretty nice, considering it is a Bleach story, not much variation they can do cause they can not go beyond the manga plot. The story sequence was good, I liked the way they showed it. Overall a good movie and like I said before, best of the Bleach movies.

Just want to mention about today's event. I had to do the second electrical lab today. Quite a few people did it today too, Sam, Jerrell, Ben, Jason, Harrison. I was with Harrison. Our task was to design the circuit for a smart car, like if the car hit a wall it will know which way to turn, by using logic gates. The tricky bit was to manipulate the boolean expression so it only uses a specific gate. Took us a while, the other 2 groups already left, when we tried to get a tutor to sign us off, he refused to do it unless we test it in the maze. At first I was like wtf, wasting time I dont wanna do maze sht, I wanna go but it turned out to be fun as.

We watched the group before us and when their car hit the wall, it always turn left and Im not sure why but their car goes super fast. When we plugged in ours, it worked like a charm. Like if it was out of 100, we would've got fuking 100/100. It was so perfect, the speed was just right and when it hits the wall, it turns perfect 90 degree, no backward movement was needed. The group that was before us watched our's and said "Wow you guys are pro!" That just made my day.

Thanks to the random Chinese tutor who helped us solved the boolean algebra, we would've never got that. Thanks to Sam who helped us with the circuit diagrams. Thanks to Harrison for knowing what to do with the wires, cause i had no fuking clue what goes where lol!

Golden Sun DS (3)

Last night I flipped through my Golden Sun guide and really felt like playing it again. So this morning I went on Google to search for Golden Sun 3, I didnt expect to find anything... but it turned out I was wrong!

GOLDEN SUN 3 WILL BE COMING OUT IN 2010 ON NINTENDO DS!

“Golden Sun™ DS: After going dark six years ago, 2010 will see a new dawn. Golden Sun DS updates the popular portable Golden Sun role-playing series with an impressive graphical style. This installment follows the story of the previous heroes’ descendants and immerses players into the magic of its adventure by pushing the boundaries of intuitive touch-screen controls. Golden Sun DS is playable on the Nintendo DS and Nintendo DSi systems.”

Here is the trailer for it ><

It is a shame I found this out 4 months later but at least now there is something to look forward to next year! For those people who dont know Golden Sun, it started out as a Gameboy Advance RPG game. (Thanks to Jason for introducing it to me) The gameplay style is similar to Final Fantasy's where you control a guy on a world map and when you encouter monsters, it switches to 4 people taking turn fight scene. The story is unbelievably awesome and the graphics was pretty good for a GBA game. It was so good that one game could not finish it...

Yes there was Golden Sun 2: The Lost Age. This time you play as another party that was introduced as NPC in the first game and you meet up with the characters you played in the first game. Oh yeah forgot to mention, its not just world map movement and fighting mobs. When you enter town or caves, you control the main character and you have to solve puzzles, talk to npcs in order to move on. The puzzles are always a challenge. Are they fun? Hmmm... yeaaaa... =.= Its not fun when you're stuck on it for hours!

If you havent try Golden Sun yet, please do. It is one of those games you play and will not regret spending all those times on it. I strongly recommend this series. Lets hope Golden Sun DS can continue the legacy. Cant wait!

Bullet Proof Baby and TGS bball mates

Ok today in chemmat, our lecturer showed us this video which was related to composites or something. Wasnt paying attention to what she was saying, more like trying to decipher what she was writing so I could copy the notes into my book. She writes so damn small... Anyway heres the video:

After I saw it, my first reaction was like :O Not because the carriage was actually bullet proof but it was that she actually pointed the gun at her baby. This stunt is probably fake but I dont like the idea of pointing the gun at the baby. I would never point a gun at my baby. What if something goes wrong you know?
This video was made to promote the movie Shoot'em Up, where the guy runs around with the baby and shooting bad guys for like a hour. For more information go to http://bulletproofbaby.net

In the afternoon, Jerrell and I had to do the international business quiz. The quiz was about the t-shirt novel we had to read but obviously we didnt lol (well I read 2 chapters). Luckily Braden helped us out and we achieved 5/5. Thanks Braden! Then went to play bball with the guys. At first I only wanted to shoot around but then ended up playing games. To be honest, I didnt really find it fun. Well I had to save energy for night time.

At night, I went with Shawn, Hans and John to Browns Bay to play bball. They were my old TGS bball buddies. There were heaps of people there, we had 5 teams of 4 lol. There were like 5 really good players and the rest were average. The 2 best players were wearing Kobe singlet or t shirt, I guess theres a reputation if you wanna wear anything Kobe lol.

We had pretty good games, didnt win many but was certainly fun. Shawn was like Dwaight Howard, he had like 3 massive blocks, like those ones you see on NBA highlights and one of the them was on the best guy there. I also had a block on that dude, it felt great. John and Hans didnt play as well as they used to due to lack of playing lol. But John was a good point guard who wouldnt lose the ball easily and could occasionally pull off nice shots. Today he was a bit rusty though. Hans on the other hand, loses the ball quite a bit but his shots in his comfort zone is consistent. I also feel he has the potential to grab good rebounds if he trains.

Shawn is an all round player, he can basically do everything, shooting 2s, 3s, driving but most of the time he has to play as the big man since hes the only one who has skills in that area. He posts well but the thing is if he misses once or twice underneath the hoop, he loses motivation and just chucks it up lol. And me? I guess Im the point getter type however an inconsistent one! I dont have a particular style, my only vision is the hoop most of the time which is bad cause that means I dont see my teammates. I would do anything in order to put the ball in the hoop, I dont think I just do lol. I do random bullsht drives or fade aways that makes people think how the fuk did he get that in? However if it doesnt go in then its basically just me chucking the ball near the hoop and hope for the best.

At like 9, the gym lady shooed us out. Went to Burger Fuel since the guys were hungry. I had to buy a $2.50 can of coke cause I was thirsty ffs. Then went to visit Hans new home, it's actually pretty close to my house. He lives in like a forest, it was actually scary to visit at night. Some dude or animal might be in the bush ready to jump you. His new home was nice, paintings everywhere, 2 cats, good atmosphere. We had a glass of juice then just went home.

Cats with Wings and District 9

Ok today I discovered something extraordinary on the internet and its honestly just wtf. Cats with wings, actually to be specific Chinese cats with wings, both of these cats were found in China. The wings actually has bones in them but cant use them to fly. Scientists claims it is genetic defect or skin condition but come on face it, it's evolution!

Also watched District 9 today, directed by Peter Jackson, epic Lord of the Ring director. It was about aliens who got stranded on Earth and Humans treat them as prisoners. The movie started and ended with a documentary style and the story of the movie went in the middle. The story itself wasnt bad, quite bloody and some bits are disgusting though. The ending wasnt complete, I mean it left us questioning but I guess thats an effective ending, let the audience imagine their own ending. The thing I found weird was how did the humans understood what the aliens were saying in the first place? lol

Taiwanese Tap Dance

Went to watch a Taiwanese tap dancing group performing at Manukau tonight. Took us an hour and a half to get there, I was so frustrated. First of all it was rush hour and second I think an accident happened on the motorway, well at least thats what the sign said. The show was suppose to start at 7 but we got there at 7 and the theatre wasnt even half full so the show had to postpone half an hour to wait for more people to arrive.

The show started with important people saying a few words. That is the part which I hate, it's never a few words! Always a friggin speech. Afterwards the real show started and theres like 7 dancers dressed in old fasion American costumes came up and started tap dancing. I soon realised that this was broadway style instead of the usual Irish tap dancing which is more familiar in NZ. The first act was about the the style of Taiwanese, in terms of tap dancing. There was nothing Taiwanese about the way they danced lol, the only thing Taiwanese were the songs they used, it was like remix of very old Taiwanese songs.

The 2nd act was about another cultural group which also lives in Taiwan. This time they included ballet in the act. The 3rd act was about Aboriginals in Taiwan. Each act, depending on the theme, the 7-9 dancers had to switch their costumes and dance to a different style but in tap form. It was pretty cool how they could integrate tap dance into those traditional cultural dances. At the end of the 3rd act, the host for the show described the Aboriginals in Taiwan and how they're related to Maoris. Then she asked us what are Maoris good at since she didnt know. People then started laughing and gave answers like drinking! My sister said she heard someone yelled stealing! LOL

The last act was about Chinese culture. I liked this one the best cause they brought out one of those huge traditional chinese drums. At first one girl solo played it then later another girl and 2 more dudes came out and it was a 4 way combo beats + tap dancing. Like 2 ppl will drum then 2 ppl dance or 3 ppl drum and one person dance. Afterwards the drumming section, 3 dancers came on the stage and started teaching the crowd to do some beats like clapping hands and tapping with our feet. One of the combination was clap fast 3 times and tap 3 times with your feet and like 80% of the crowd could not get it. It was like they were all retarded or something. Even the 3 dancers on the stage could not believe that the crowd could not do it lol. They tried repeating it like 5 times and the crowd still fails lol.

The show ended with more tap dancing. Overall I reckon the show wasnt bad but not super great. I reckon they were trained well, they could get to their different positions and creating different formations, they executed that really well. But in terms of tap dancing skills, average compare to the rest of the world. I still prefer Irish tap dancing.

Pearl Harbour and stuff

Been watching Pearl Harbour on tv since Sunday and just then finished watching it, thought I'll comment about it. I reckon it was a good movie overall, although online critics says different. It was a very lengthy movie, lucky they split it into 2 days. The war scenes were fantastic, the explosions, the fighting, pretty realistic. Oh and the hospital scene too, was well done, all the burnt people and people who were bleeding heavily and doctors and nurses had to choose who to save. The romance in the film was weird but perfectly understandable.

So Im into the 2nd week of this semester. All the test and assignment marks from last term have came out. I did average, like really average, not my normal percentage I felt, have to try harder this term. Hardly working out now but instead focusing on basketball more. Been rewatching Slam Dunk and it just motivates me to keep practising and get better. Due to committed practises, I can play the Yui song pretty well now, although not as fast but at 80% of the speed, just nearly there. Next song that I will be practising will probably be the FMA ending or one of Naruto's theme.

Macross Frontier

Started watching Macross Frontier at the start of this week and today I finished watching it. Here is my review/thoughts: (CONTAIN SPOILERS)

Macross Frontier is an action/romance/mecha/musical anime, the story revolving around 3 characters, Alto, Sheryl and Ranka. Each of them has really different background. Alto is a pretty boy who came from from a famous Kabuki performing family and himself was quite a famous one too. However he did not like it and his dream was to fly in the sky. Sheryl is a super famous singer across the galaxy, she is a strong willed girl who never gives up. Ranka is an ordinary girl who simply loves Sheryl and enjoys singing also.

(wtf at the pizza hut logo lol)

Humanity is constantly under attack from these alien insects called Vajra. Humans defend themselves by piloting jets which can transform into robots. In order to prove he will not act, Alto becomes a pilot. He saves Ranka or Sheryl at various times and this creates feelings between them.

From the introduction given above, you can see how this anime falls into the genres I mentioned. The first thing you know when watching this is that a lot of songs has been used during the anime, well I mean 2 of the main characters are singers. Various songs sung by Ranka and Sheryl were used during fighting scenes or performance scenes. The thing I like the most is that they would have different endings most of the time. They varied it to suit the story, like a sad song when the episode ends in sadness or an exciting song when the episode was an epic battle. Since this anime was only came out 2 years ago, the drawings are awesome, it's very clean and stylish.

The story is kinda confusing at the start but the general idea is shown clearly. The romance, comedy has been laid out and its enjoyable to watch. There are some real funny wtf moments and the songs are always nice to listen to. The entire plot is pretty good I reckon, better than Eureka 7's. But like Eureka 7, although it is a mecha anime, it is more focused on story besides the robots. In Macross Frontier, it shows the robots action scenes but they're not the important part of the story, the romance is. However this does not mean it is a girl's romantic anime, I recommend this anime because there is plenty of action, nice drawings and music and a good story.

Yui

Well as mentioned before Im gonna write about Yui. Yui is another one of my favourite Japanese artist. The first Yui song I heard was Life, it was used as Bleach's 5th ending. Immediately after listening to it, I thought it was a good song and that she has talent. Luckily I introduced Bleach to In Hwan and he then became familiar with Yui and started downloading her songs. That was how I got my collection of Yui, from In Hwan lol.

Well since I am going to write about Yui, I did some background research. I found out that she was just 3 years older than me! Her music only started recently, first album was released at 2004. Since then she had been releasing albums every year and every one of them was successful, various songs were choosed for movies, anime and dramas. She also starred (is it starred? I dunno XD) in a movie called Midnight Sun, Taiyo No Uta where she was the main character, a girl with a rare skin condition.

I havent heard all of her songs but I've heard all of the famous ones. I do recommend Yui since she has got a great voice and her songs vary from rock to like really soft. The only thing I found which was a bit negative was that hmm how do I describe it... like sometimes I find that her voice just always sounds the same, no variation. But thats just sometimes and thats just me, I still think Yui is great! Here are some songs I recommend:
Life
Namidaro
Love and Truth
How Crazy
Remember
Tokyo <-- Nice soft song
Jam <-- Good rock
Highway Chance <-- Probably my favourite, tying with Again though lol
Again <-- Her fastest song yet and CURRENTLY my favourite Japanese song. This song also inspired me to play the piano again. I've been practising to play this song almost everyday, getting better and better!

Aion

So for the past 4 days I had been trying out the new MMORPG game Aion open beta. It is made by NCsoft, the creator of Lineage. The files were big and takes a while to install. After launching the game, you realise it takes a lot longer to load compare to other games. After entering the game, the login page has a really beautiful scenery as a background, it then plays a movie showing some sort of battle taken place. It's different compare to l2 or wow since they showed a gameplay movie instead of what we usually expect, a movie-like cinematic.

The character creation page has definately been upgraded from l2. The amount of details you can put on your character, from eyes length, angle, width, height to how long your legs can be. It has got more features than sims 2 I reckon. I created a female scout "Ayaka", reason for a girl cause I thought its only going to be for 4 days so just playing around and I wanted to name it Ayako first but it was taken grr.

Upon entering the world of Aion, I realised the ingame graphics was pretty amazing. The landscape is similar to wow's but more refined and the characters were more like l2's except more smooth. The entire game's graphics gives you an impression of 'nice'. Oh and the water looks really realistic. The music was really well used, it's hard to describe music but it just owns thats all I can say. When you enter combat, the music switches to an intense drum beating fighting music which is a neat feature. The first thing I realised when playing was the amount of people on the server. When you first start theres gurantee 5 other people standing beside you also starting. Everywhere you go there are people, there are never empty cities or training grounds.

Like all mmorpg games, this game requires you to kill monsters, level up and buy better gears. An easier way to get past the annoying thought of grinding is to do quests. Quest rewards gives exp, money or items which can only benefit you. There are 2 types of quests in Aion. One is campaign quests, they are the ones you have to do in order for the story of the Aion to move on. The other kind is just random quests which gives you additional exp, money etc. They are not all just kill X no. of mobs and find this item (I do hate those ones though lol), they vary from leading a pig home to delivering flowers to someone within a time limit. A new feature I found in this game was that there is a collecting skill, like collecting plants or mining for ores and you have to level it up in order to collect better things, it's a pain.

An exciting new ability in Aion is the ability to fly. Yes you have wings! At level 10 you can unlock this ability. You have like 40 seconds of flight time then you have to return to the ground to rest otherwise you'll fall and receive damage or even death. You can only fly in places with lots of Aether energy? or something like that. You might be thinking oh wtf I wanna fly everywhere I go, I hate walking. Well the answer to that is gliding! Even though we cant fly, it is still possible to spread your wings and glide from high places like jumping off a small hill. It really beats walking and it also takes some skills to bounce off and catch more air and try not to touch the ground. There are some places or quests which forces you to fly in order to get there so dont worry about not be able to fly much.

When you approach higher levels, the game forces you group up with others in order to complete your quests otherwise the mobs are too strong for you to solo. Luckily I had Jason playing with me, with his Spiritmaster, summoning different element spirits. I was a Ranger, one who uses bow. It was fun group hunting, I guess that is the real deal of mmorpgs, have fun with friends. For trading/buying/selling, Aion has combined features from wow and l2, an auction house and afk shops so take your pick and find the best bargain. I earned lots by selling items just a bit cheaper than everyone else.

Jason and I couldnt finish our quests last night and was about to do more today but the server was down and a new patch was released. No way I could download 620mb so I guess this is the end of my open beta. I played for 4 days and have not regretted one bit (ok except for 1 hour which I wasted trying to find this damn necklace). 70% chance I will play official server but it will have to wait until I finish exams at the end of the year. For people who are currently playing WoW or L2, I really recommend you to move to Aion. You'll find stuff you are familiar with and also new things to try out. :)

G.I. Joe, Nobless and FMA songs

Yesterday in the afternoon I was trying to complete my nobless quest on l2. I finally farmed every material required and did all the mixing (never want to do that again, clicking for more than 100 times). My final challenge was to kill the raid boss Barakiel. I went around each town and shouted for people to help. Just when I assembled my party, the server decided to restart! By the time the server was back up, we couldnt have killed him in time since I had to leave soon to go the movies.

I was first to arrive at Hoyts car park, Adam and his dad followed me in a second later, 2 seconds later Shawn came in and Shuhan arrived 10 seconds later. It was suprising that everyone was on time lol. We were gonna watch GI Joe, the tickets on Saturday was quite expensive...like $15.50 or something. There was hardly anyone in the theatre, only like 2 rows of people. The movie was a standard action hero movie, lots of cool technology though, they also mixed some martial arts in there. Quite a few known actored appeared in the movie, the good and bad guy from The Mummy, main character is from Step Up 2, the general commander dude I've seen him a lot in other movies.

After the movie, we went to Narita Japanese restaurant. Adam and Shuhan saw their AU classmate working there. It was freezing so the guys wanted to drink warm sake so we ordered a small one and shared it. After one sip indeed it warms you up but alcohol still taste bleh. Dinner at Narita is more expensive than lunch, lunchtime they got the $10 bento but during dinner its all $20 or more. I got a combo of fish, chicken, fish katsu. I reckon Shuhan's one was best value, for $24 he had way more stuff than us, like sushi, tempura, weird looking fried pastry. Afterwards. we were about to leave then their classmate offered us free dessert LOL so yeah we sat back down and enjoyed it (green tea ice cream and hard marshmallow).

Later, we went to play pool at the tenpin bowling place. It was a good game for me and Shawn, Shuhan and Adam need to play more. Felt wasnt enough so we had 2 games of air hockey, it was intense, at one point Adam put too much force into his hitting thing and it went flying across the table.

When I got back home, went to check Barakiel and found a party. I called Adam to come heal for us, we were with 3 Hisatsu. We failed the first time cause our tank was only wearing A grade armor. Succeeded the 2nd time and this morning I got my nobless. Watched fma while eating lunch today, man fma just gets better and better, the storyline is just :O awesome. Here is the 1st opening and ending, they are my favourite Japanese songs right now. First Yui then the other one. Will talk about Yui later on.

Again - Yui

Go Kart-ing

Had to wake up at 8am today to go go kart-ing. My first experience of go karts was at year 6 camp where there was only one on the field and we get to do a lap around the field each. Sherman picked me up and we went to Ming's. From there, the 5 of us Ming, Sherman, Albert, Shimeen and I took Shimeen's car and went to the go kart place. I never knew it was right next to Snow Planet. We were the first people to arrive there, we even arrived earlier than the event organisers.

After everyone arrived, we were sort into groups, each group had 9 teams, we were in the first group so we got to race first. The rules were, 125 laps per team which means 25 laps per person, first round was qualifying round, the starting position for the actual round was judged by your time during the qualifying round. Go Kart rules: Try to avoid contact, if the refs catches you deliberately hitting the other kart, they will signal you with a black flag which means you have to pull into the pit stop and recieve penalty time. Blue flag is when you are going too slow so you should move to the left and give way to people behind you. Yellow flag or light means slow down, someone has crashed and the service people are trying to get him out.

Our first driver was Sherman since he was the captain of the team. They started with 2 laps of warm up and Sherman crashed during the 2nd lap LOL. Everyone was just waiting for him to get unstuck so we could start the race. Then the race started. It was the most intense event I have watched in a while. Motors whirring, tyres screeching, people cheering, it was very exciting. It was really funny when people blocked others while turning corners and made them crash. Sherman was doing pretty good but then he got a black flag. We didnt see what happened but that was a bummer.

At 25 laps, we have to hold out a sign to signal our driver to pull into the pitstop because you cant hear anything while you were driving. Shimeen was next, he was doing good until his kart broken down lol which caused us more time. Albert went next and then it was Ming. It was cool seeing how concentrated our team members were, cheered them on as they drove past and laughed at them when they crashed. That is what a team should be.

When it was my turn, I was pretty nervous because it seemed like everyone got the hang of it but what if I didnt. Well after getting on and floored the accelerator, not only was I suprised about how fast the go kart was but also how easy it was to drive it. You dont even need to use the break, even around corners but during my laps I found out that you skid after leaving corners if you dont use the break and that slows you down by a bit. The coolest part during my laps was when i overtook 3 people at once, the first kart was going slow which was blocking the other 2. However I saw a gap between them so I weaved through and got past all of them, man it felt really good. Another memorable part was when I was behind this girl and I tried to get past her around a corner but the gap wasnt big enough so I hit her side on which caused her kart to become perpendicular to the track and she had to wait for the service people to put her back straight. I waved my hand to apologise but I still felt guilty afterwards because it was completely my fault yet my kart was fine lol :/

After the qualifying round for group 1 finished, it was the other group's turn which means we had to wait for another hour or so. There was suppose to be a sausage sizzle soon but they still hadnt set it up so we decided to go out for lunch. According to Albert, there was a Wendys just 'down the road'. So we went down the road, went past Silverdale town centre, turned right heading towards Shakespear Park, searching and hoping that there was a Wendys. We made ridiculous bets to what happens if there was one or there wasnt one cause we were just driving towards no where and we wouldnt stop until we saw a Wendys. Then we finally reached this more civilised place and there it was! All of us were cheering and relieved, Albert was like "See! See!", Shimeen was like speechless.

Went back to the race track after lunch, what it seemed like a 20mins driver before was actually like a 5 mins drive. When we got back, group 2 still hadnt finished so we just chilled. Then after it finished, they sorted us out into division A and B. A was the fastest 9 and B was the slowest 9. We were in division A, they decided to let division B to race first which meant more waiting for us. We were all fairly tired so all 5 of us just squeezed into the car and listened to music, talked, slept, just trying to kill some time.

After like an hour of waiting, it was finally our turn. We knew we werent that fast in division A and we were right, we were 8th out of the 9 team to start off lol. Albert went first and he had an awesome start, during the first 5 laps he overtook like 3 or 4 people, he was 4th at one time but the he crashed which was awww but still got us up to 7th by the end of his laps. Ming went next and during his turn, quite a lot of crashes happened which boost made us kept fluactuating between 6th and 7th. It was funny when Ming bumped onto the safety tyres really hard one time and his hair net fell on top of eyes so he was basically driving blindly LOL. Sherman went next and did good too by the end of his laps, we were 6th. Shimeen was great, he kept us at 6th and he held the record of the fastest lap in our team. Our greatest target was kart 2, they were 5th. We were a lap behind them and then a miracle happened, they crashed which allowed Shimeen to caught up and was half a lap behind them now.

Our plan was when kart 2 do their driver change, we let Shimeen go an extra lap and make up for the lost half a lap. Then when it was my turn, the seatbelt got stuck and we fumbled for like 30 secs which meant our plan didnt work as well as expected. When I was in the kart, I felt like my vision narrowed, all I could see was the kart in front of me and all I thought about was how was I going to get past him. I didnt even pay attention to flags or lights and lucky I didnt get any. I skillfully got past one guy and I found myself chasing no.2, he was right in front of me. He was trying to block me all the time but during the S curve I managed to fight through a narrow gap he left opened while turning and bumped him out of my way. Luckily I didnt get penalised but then afterwards I could feel him chasing me, trying to regain his position. I stood strong and did not let him past me and the result of that we got 5th!

Today was one of the funnest day I've had in ages. It was worth the $40 I had to pay, since normally it would be $40 for only 20mins. Today's event, there was teamwork, individual skill, excitement, thrill all pack into one. But driving a go kart gets tiring since a lot of strength is needed to turn the steering wheel, I felt like I've just went to the gym. Anyway, this was the longest update I've ever written and Im really tired now so just gonna leave here.

Freedom, holiday and Eureka 7 songs

Finally freedom time! Yesterday Peter did an extreme trick for the last matlab lecture. He juggled knives while riding a tall unicycle. Saw lots of people filming it so its probably already on youtube now. Played some pool in the afternoon just to celebrate the end of uni. Then went home and worked on the matlab project. After a few hours of battle, I have triumphed.

Today, I went to the Career's Day in uni. Sherman came to my house and we took the bus to get there. It was basically like last year, we met up with Ming then went to the mechatronics lecture since it is one of the course Im leaning towards to. We went to 1.401 then realised it was just a live feed projection from the other room, we didnt want to stare at the projection screen so we tried going to the mechanics lecture room. We arrived at the door and the security dudes wouldnt allow us in, claiming its full already so we went back to the first room lol. After mechatronics it was electrical. I dont know if I should do electrical or mechatronics next year but at least I have narrowed it down, just have to ask a few opinions.

Went to have lunch after the lectures. First we wanted to go to Mentatz but its closed... so we went to the Jap restaurant thats above the Atrium and that was closed... so we just got a whole pizza at the bottom of the Atrium and shared. I reckon we should've just got Dominoes, it would've been much cheaper and more filling but oh well.

I'm gonna leave here openings and endings from Eureka 7 which I thought were good.

Favourite - 1st opening, Flow - Days

2nd - 4th ending, Canvas - Coolon

Rest - 2nd opening, Shounen's Heart - Home Made Kazoku & 3rd ending, Tip Taps Tip

Sherman's Birthday

Today's electrical was fairly easy although the lecturer said this is the hardest thing. Chemmat was insane, I was so busy taking down notes because she changed them really fast and her handwriting was hard to read that I didnt hear anything she said. Met up with Jerrell and David for lunch then went to engineering library to study for international business. It was really efficient study in my opinion because we were all contributing ideas and explaining things to each other and trying to remember what the lecturer said about various things. The test's content was alright I thought but I needed more time. I was confused for the first 5 mins too. It had random mixed country names like Chiwan, Zeatralia and New Ausland. I gave it my best but I dont think the result will be good.

Went to play basketball afterwards while waiting for Sherman to finish his chemmat lab. Jerrell and I were just shooting around when 'Ray Allen' said ok guys lets start. He assumed we were playing without even asking, wtf? But we joined in anyway. Fairly good game it was, Jerrell was sinking more shots than usual (I did come up with some random shooting routine and he just followed it lol). I reckon they underestimated us because we were first years, although they won by 1, it was only because I was too lazy to defend, not in term of skills.

Then we went to play pool for Sherman's birthday. Due to unexpected bball game, I didnt get him anything but I'll get something for him later on. Sherman and I kept mis-hit our ball, especially him when he was breaking, one time he missed 5 times in a row lol. After pool, we went and got dinner at Imax and chilled. Sherman went to his birthday dinner with his parents.

Jerrell's Bday

8am start today, nothing particularly interesting happened during lectures. We got a new chemmat lecturer. She is quite funny, talks to herself (or us?) a lot and making random comments but definately not a dull lectuer. I reckon all my lecturers this semester are all pretty good, they either won teaching awards or they're funny.

Today was Jerrell's birthday but didnt do anything because we had the electrical test at night and have international business test tomorrow. The electrical test was a suprise, it was harder than previous 2 years. I think most of us took for granted that the test would be the same as before. Overall it was alright though.

Planning to meet up with David tomorrow to study for international business. Last test, go me (jap: ganbatte, fuaito)!

Laptop lost but recovered!

Yesterday I decided to bring my laptop to uni since I had both matlab and chemmat test. Studied at engineering library with the crew between 12-2 for chemmat. Everyone was telling me to take the protective plastic off because it looks ugly but I believe dust is of greater concern than looks, so the plastic stays! Then at 2, went for the matlab test, it was fairly easy I reckon also finished lab6 before the 2 hours was up.

Afterwards I went to the general library (Jerrell calls it the hyperbolic time chamber from DBZ, cause whenever I emerge from it, I become stronger; knowledge-wise). I wanted to study at the 6th level because I like the scenery from up there but it was full... Went down to 5th, it was full... Finally found a seat in 4th. There I did the chemmat sample test.

After studying, got hungry so went to bought $2 chips, the line was long, like 10 people wanted $2 chips. The glasses lady seemed really tired, must've been a long day for her, everybody ordering $2 chips lol. Visited the crew afterwards then we all went to our separate test rooms, Sam was with me, in MLT3. The chemmat test was fairly straightforward I thought, some people said it was really confusing, it was either I did it completely wrong or I'm genius(in guessing).

After the test, we met up with Jerrell and Ming and went to Wendys. It was after ordering the meal and taking off my bag did I notice that I was not carrying the extra load. So I ran back to MLT3 and it was not there. My guess was the people who supervised the exam had taken it but I was still not sure, it was at that time I knew exactly how Jerrell felt when he lost his ipod. Later, went home and sent email to the chemmat lecturer and lost property. I had nothing to do that night, was in no mood for studying so I went to sleep at 10:30. During sleep I kept dreaming various consequences for my laptop.

Today, first thing upon arriving at uni, open webmail and check and GG the chemmat office had my laptop. Went to retrieve it on the 8th floor at lunch time. I dont know what I would have done if my laptop was lost. Everything is in it, games, music, movies, assignments, anime, unimaginable. Anyway just found out today that my International Business test was worth 30% and it has only 4 questions! Have electrical test tomorrow but should be fine for that.

My dad sent me this today, its rather interesting.
